  • Living Victoriously (for spiritually single women)
At first, spiritually single may sound like a group for women who are not married. But it is much more than that! It’s a group for Christian women whose husbands have not been saved or women who have been widowed. Being the "spiritual leader" in the household is an enormous responsibility.

Our vision is to provide fellowship with other women who are walking alone with Christ Jesus. We will study God’s Word, pray together, encourage one another spiritually, build relationships with each other, and be accountable for our personal walks with Christ.

    "Ephesians: Bringing Heaven to Earth"

    Time: 1st and 3rd & 5th Sundays of the month, 9:00 - 10:15 am
    Location: Room 201
Group Leaders: Tani Hollingsworth at (215) 491-2627 or Carol Sheaffer at
    (215) 348-2574 for all information on the current study

  • Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)
Could you use a morning out to talk with other moms, have a cup of coffee, develop friendships and even make a craft? Welcome to MOPS!

We exist to nurture every mother of preschoolers by meeting her distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. While moms attend their meetings, the children enjoy a program specifically designed for their needs and age (infants through kindergarten) too. MOPS groups provide encouragement, support, teaching, and friendships. MOPS helps moms be the best moms they can be!  If you would like to be a MOPS participant or if you are interested in joining this team of dedicated women, contact Marion Turner at (215) 453-7645.

    Time:
    Tuesdays, 9:15 am - 11:15 am
Dates: We currently have two alternating MOPS groups. Please call Marion Turner at (215) 453-7645 for a schedule for MOPS. A MOPS Bible study will begin in January 2008.

  • Mentoring ~ "Nurturing a Woman's Heart"
Are you looking for a place to connect with other women?  Would you like to build relationships that go beyond the surface to true frendship and intimacy?

Nurturing  a Woman's Heart, our mentoring ministry at First Baptist Church, provides an opportunity for mature women to build mentoring relationships with younger women through

  • Topical Bible studies based on Titus 2:3-5
  • Group cooking demonstrations followed by shared meals
  • An outgoing relationship of mutual encouragement

Nurturing  a Woman's Heart meets once a week in the evenings for about 6 weeks of training.  Afterward, mentors and mentorees are partnered together in a two-way relationship for a year, or longer, if desired.

Why not consider joining other women in this nurturing program as a mentor or a mentoree?  You will be blessed as you grow together in your love for God, your family and others.

Coordinator: Elaine Hinkle. We are currently looking for both mentors and mentorees.  If you would like more information on beginning dates and times of meeting, please contact Elaine at (215) 348-4095.
